Hello, heroes! وحدة جديدة: A Day At Work — يوم في العمل. نتعلّم المهن: doctor — طبيب. A doctor helps sick people. nurse — ممرّض/ممرّضة. A nurse takes care of patients. teacher — معلّم. A teacher helps students learn. engineer — مهندس. An engineer designs buildings and machines. firefighter — رجل الإطفاء. A firefighter stops fires and saves people. police officer — ضابط شرطة. A police officer keeps people safe. carpenter — نجّار. A carpenter makes things from wood. photographer — مصوّر. A photographer takes photos. voiceover actor — ممثّل صوتي. mentor — مرشد أو موجّه. وأفعال المهن: design — يصمّم. stop fires — يطفئ الحرائق. save people — ينقذ الناس. build — يبني. repair — يصلح. ودلوقتي التركيب اللي بنستعمله للسؤال والإجابة: What does your father do? — أبوك بيشتغل إيه؟ He is an engineer. He designs bridges. What does your mother do? She is a doctor. She works in a hospital. ولاحظوا: بنستعمل does مع he و she — زيّ ما اتعلمنا في الوحدة التانية! وانتبهوا للـ a و an: a قبل الحرف الساكن: a doctor, a teacher, a nurse. an قبل الحرف المتحرّك: an engineer, an artist, an actor. وسؤال يستحقّ التفكير: When I grow up, I want to be… إيه؟ فكّر، واسأل نفسك: ليه؟ And now, let's practise!

Omar, picture a big football stadium — the players aren't the only ones working! There's the team doctor, the engineer who designed the stadium, and the photographer capturing the goals. Today we'll learn job names in English and what each person does.
💡 Look at your team, Omar: if someone asks 'What does your coach do?' you say 'He is a teacher. He helps players learn.' And about the stadium builder: 'He is an engineer. He designs stadiums.' Notice: 'a teacher' because t is a consonant, and 'an engineer' because e is a vowel — and we use 'does' with he.
