The lesson
Hello, heroes! أهلًا بيكم في الوحدة التانية: Our Nature — طبيعتنا. وأول درس: Caring for Plants. Laila: Grandpa, your garden looks incredible! How do you keep it so green and healthy? Grandpa: I take care of it every day. Plants need water, sunlight, and care to grow well — النبات محتاج مية وشمس ورعاية. Laila: What kinds of plants do you have here? Grandpa: I grow herbs like basil, mint, and parsley. We use them in many Egyptian dishes. Some add flavor, and others are good for health. Laila: Dad drinks mint tea every evening on the balcony. It helps him relax. Grandpa: I also grow hibiscus and jasmine. We use hibiscus to make a tasty drink — بنعمل من الكركديه مشروب لذيذ. Grandpa: I have guava and fig trees, too. Over there are the olive trees. Olives take time to grow, but they are full of oil — الزيتون مليان زيت. Laila: How do you care for all these plants? Grandpa: I water them early in the morning, pull out weeds, and check for insects. Sometimes I use natural fertilizer — بسقيهم بدري، وبقلع الحشائش، وبستخدم سماد طبيعي. And now, let's practise!
A message from Captain Nour for you
Captain Omar! Just like a football pitch needs care to keep its grass green, plants need water, sunlight, and care too. Today we learn Lesson 1: Caring for Plants — and we'll play a word match!
💡 Imagine you're preparing the match pitch: first you water the grass early in the morning, then you pull out the weeds so the ball rolls smoothly, and you may use natural fertilizer. After the match, drink a cup of hibiscus to relax!
