Read the written lesson below and start practising — your progress counts in full.
Productivity starts with demonstrating respect for other people's time — which is what makes them respect yours.
The lesson
Before you start
Omar, this lesson is about a daily practical behaviour: how you handle your own time and your colleagues' time at the office. First we define what respecting time means, then we name the most common time-wasters at work. The result is that when you say you are busy, it is heard and respected.
💡 Picture a meeting set from 10:00 to 10:30 that runs to 11:00 because someone opened a side topic. The cost is not just half an hour: a report due at four slips, and your inbox piles up because you were checking it moment by moment between tasks. The fix is to close the meeting on time, park the side topic as a later item, and set two fixed slots for email instead of monitoring it all day.
